JobText is a service of JS Films LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. It covers this website (jobtext.co), our demo pages, and the AI receptionist we run on our customers' websites.

1. Who this covers

Business customers and prospects: contractors who use or ask about JobText.
Website visitors: people who visit jobtext.co or a demo page.
Our customers' visitors: people who chat with the JobText assistant on a customer's website (for example, a homeowner asking a roofer about a leak).

2. What we collect

Information you give us: your name, business name, phone number, email address, website address, and anything you tell us by phone, text, email, or chat.
Chat information on customer websites: what a visitor types into the chat, such as their name, phone number, address, a description of the job, and any photos they choose to upload.
Billing information: payments are handled by our payment processor (currently Square). We don't see or store your full card number.
Basic technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider may log things like IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to keep the site running and secure.

3. How we use it

To provide the service: answer chat visitors, collect job details, and send lead alerts to the business by text and email.
To set up and improve each customer's assistant using information from their public website.
To bill customers, provide support, and respond to questions.
To contact business prospects about our service. You can ask us to stop at any time.
To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

4. Chat information belongs to the business you contacted

When you chat with the assistant on a contractor's website, we collect that information on behalf of that business and pass it to them so they can reply to you. That business decides how it uses your information afterwards. If you have questions about how they use it, please contact them directly. You can also contact us and we'll help.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only:

With the business you contacted (for chat leads).
With service providers that help us run JobText, such as website hosting, text messaging and email delivery, payment processing, and AI language-model providers that help generate chat replies. They may only use the information to provide services to us.
If required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
If our business is sold or reorganized, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

6. How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it to provide the service, handle billing and records, and resolve disputes. When a customer cancels, we delete or anonymize their chat leads within a reasonable time unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information.
You can ask us to stop contacting you. Every marketing email we send includes a way to opt out, and we honor opt-outs promptly.
Depending on where you live (including California), you may have additional privacy rights under state law. Contact us and we will respond as the law requires. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to data. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send highly sensitive information (like card numbers or Social Security numbers) through a chat.

9. Children

JobText is a business service and is not meant for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll let our customers know.
